Service, Fellowship & Community: Assets of a Fulltime Families Rally

For the past few weeks, I have been working on a series entitled “Saving Money on the Road”. While I love saving money, I also believe that some things are worth paying for. Recently our family spent time at the Fulltime Families 2019 Family Reunion Rally. As I have written after the last several rallies we have attended, I can attest again that a Fulltime Families membership is definitely worth the cost. The community and opportunities that this organization provides is priceless.

The community and opportunities that this organization provides are priceless.

During this rally, as in Canada, Philip and I had the pleasure to serve as the teen leaders for the week. Our theme for the rally was acts of kindness. During the week we discussed what acts of kindness are and how others can benefit from our kindness. Lots of games, fires, and fellowship also took place.

On Thursday, we did acts of kindness around the campground. These mainly consisted of placing encouraging notes on the doors of other people’s campers. One mom posted on the rally Facebook page about how much the note meant to her. She mentioned that she had had an emotional morning and it was great to get the reassurance that she had found her community.

Friday, we decided to give back to the community that hosted our rally. The teens and 4 leaders went to the local laundry mat and left bags of quarters with encouraging notes. Next, we hung out at the local grocery store to assist people with returning their carts to the cart returns. Finally, we headed over to the McDonald’s and purchased lunch for 20 patrons. It was a GREAT project!

Rallies are a benefit of paid Fulltime Families membership. They are an excellent opportunity for adults & kids alike to grow new relationships and foster existing ones. Our family is planning to attend at least 3 more rallies this year. Will you join us for one?

I love what you guys did with the teens! It’s endearing to know that our young people have such big hearts. It gives me hope for the future. I really enjoyed meeting you at the rally! I look forward to seeing you again, & following your journey until we do. God bless.

Thank you so much, Natasha! Philip and I enjoy working with the youth. As a former high school math teacher, it truly is my absolute favorite age group. We really enjoyed meeting you guys as well! Thank you for following along!
