Are you in the search for a screen room canopy? Have you purchased an canopy that just isn’t holding up to the elements? That’s where we were recently. We had a screen room, and at first we were pretty happy with it. After a few months of being constantly being set up, it started getting worn and torn. It quickly found its way to the dumpster. The hunt for a new screen room canopy began.

Introducing The Clam Quick-Set

Clam Quick-Set Pavilion

As mentioned several times before, we are members of the Fulltime Families (FTF) community. In this community, it was apparent that one screen room canopy was commonly used. That screen room is the Clam Quick-Set, specifically the Quick-Set Pavilion. Clam has been in business for over 30 years and began by making ice fishing tents. They know how to make good portable shelters and it shows. These canopies are built to last! It is double, and in some places, triple stitched. They are also reinforced in the corners. The Pavilion model has built-in panels that have openable windows or the entire panel can be unzipped and tied open. The screen mesh is super fine to keep out even the tiniest insects.

Room To Spread Out

Plenty of room inside the screen room

These screen room canopies are also very roomy. They are six-sided with 150” between each side. You can literally set up a 6-foot table inside it and have plenty of room to walk around it. Plenty of headroom with no need to duck while inside is another great feature.

Quick Set Up

Setting up the Quick-Set Pavilion is also very easy. They fold up kinda like a beach umbrella and the panels and roof just have to be “popped” out into place. You can pull this canopy out of its bag and have it set up within about a minute, with a little practice!

Other Models To Choose

The Quick-Set canopies are also available without the panels built-in. The smaller Escape and Escape XL, which is the same size as the Pavilion, that are still screened in but do not come with panels. You can order them separately in packs of 3.

Bearable Outdoor Summer

The Quick-Set at night

We purchased the Quick-Set Pavilion because we like the built-panels. We thought the higher price was worth not having to add and remove the panels, that could get lost. So far this screen room canopy has completely lived up to the hype. Our friends, the Adventuring Andersons, also purchased one. We hang out, eat dinner, and play cards and games in the Clams all the time. These screen room canopies have made the summer outdoors bearable in the evening when the bugs are out in force! The only downside we can find to these screen rooms is since the mesh is so fine it doesn’t allow as much breeze to blow through. This is easily remedied by hooking up a small fan inside though.

The Perfect Screen Room Canopy

If you are in the market for a new screen room canopy, look no further that the Clam Quick-Set line. These canopies will pay for itself because it will outlive 3 or 4 of the cheaper ones.
